Tri-color Pancakes with caramelized bananas

Inspiration came from this blogpost by Amanda. The colors are not as bright as her pancakes but I don't mind. I enjoyed cooking and eating this. And next time I'm thinking of adding flavor to each color plus cinnamon on top. :)

Served with chilled taho, Peanut butter, chocolate syrup and hazelnut spread.

Pancake Mix I used Magnolia Pancake Plus then added food coloring to each pancake batter

For the caramelized bananas

2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 firm, ripe banana

Prepare a medium fire in the grill. Combine the butter and brown sugar in a shallow dish. Peel the banana, cut in half lengthwise, and then again crosswise. Add the banana to the butter mixture and toss very gently to coat. Grill the banana, turning once, until a crispy brown coating of caramelized sugar forms on the surface, about 5 minutes per side. Watch carefully; don't allow the sugar to char.
