December Daily 2014-Completed Pages

Out of laziness, I'm sharing my December daily completed pages two months after I finished it. The amount of time spent in photographing then processing is a bit tiring. I'm not complaining, I'm just stating a fact all bloggers/crafters are going through when it comes to creating a single post with heavy photos. OK, enough with my problem (I'm considering video post next time) and let's gets started.

For my opening page, I adhere a red felt clock (I removed the numbers and save it for later use) to a transparency film then spell out our surname with gold foil alpha sticker.

Photos and journaling came from this post, I added the journaling directly to the photo using Photoshop. "so bright" scripted stamp is from Digital Design Essentials 25 daily freebies | day 14. One pocket contains Christmas tree & star embellishments then mixed together with gold and silver sequins. I ran the pocket through my sewing machine to keep it closed using Red all purpose polyester thread

Vintage Christmas journaling cards from Digital Design Essentials 25 daily freebies | day 11, die cut from Making Memories - Noel Collection - Christmas - Die Cut Pieces with Glitter Accents, Paper by Crate Paper, silver sequins, fabric yoyos from my shop and round doilies

I wrapped Gold polyester thread in Number 4 fabric chipboard alphabet stickers (patchwork, black) by American Crafts

I stamped Inkadinkado - Clear Acrylic Stamps - Mini Personal Stache using Tsukineko Small-Size VersaFine Instant Dry Pigment Ink, Onyx Black then used leftover papers from Crate Paper paper Pad 12"X12" and punched Christmas tree & star shapes. I embellish it with gold sequins.

Another pocket with embellishments. I ran again the pocket through my sewing machine to keep it close using gold polyester thread. I downloaded a Philippine map for Typhoon Ruby and Santa with Rudolph clip art. I Adhere a gold foil number sticker indicating the day. Papers from Crate Paper paper Pad 12"X12"

The "I love this" pink arrow came from Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine Collection Chip Sticker Set, die cut from Making Memories - Noel Collection - Christmas - Die Cut Pieces with Glitter Accents

To incorporate more photos, I adhere them together and tape it with washi tape then staple a tab.

I also included the tissue from the restaurant.

I cut a 2.5x3.5 wrapping paper and used it as a filler card.

The "fun" circle sticker is from Pink Paislee Switchboard Collection Puffy Stickers and the chef is a free clip art.

Leftover chipboard covered with red pentel pen. I intentionally leave few areas then adhere transparency to hold gold sequins, gold foil alpha sticker for our surname initials and bingo chip.

I printed our couple and family pictures in 5x7 format.

I included the tags from our Christmas gifts.

We do an annual exchange gifts and we usually got tons of pictures with that activity. Gold fabric yoyos from my shop.

I machine stitched the gift wrapper to a manila tag using Red all purpose polyester thread

One pocket contains paper clips then mixed together with gold and silver sequins then I ran the pocket through my sewing machine again to keep it closed using Gold all purpose polyester thread.

Tag from my christmas tags collection. I adhere it to a scrapbook paper by machine stitching using Gold all purpose polyester thread then attached fabric yoyos from my shop

I'm so happy, I was able to document our December 2014 and as early as January, I already bought an album I'm going to use this year.

My Favorite Make-up

This is the first and probably the last time I will share makeup haul because I am not into it or to be more specific, my skin is not into it. I go out without any makeup except this two. I tried different brands and by far these are my favorite.

Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm- I love the idea of lipstick and lip balm together in one tube. It saves me bag space and it's easy to carry. No need for makeup pouch. In terms of formulation, this is a good product- it's easy to apply and gives my lips a slight hint of color and shine.

C.O. Bigelow Mentha Organics Barely There Sheer Lip Tint CO Bigelow Bath & Body Works- This is amazing because it has a sweet minty scent & taste. It also does not feel sticky on my lips. It blends well with chubby stick lip balm.

Just in case you missed it, Here's my beauty and drugstore haul. Happy weekend everyone. :)

Papaya con Crema

I love Papaya in Tinolang Manok. I never thought I'm going to love it more as a dessert. Thanks to my dear friend for the idea. Just mix diced ripe papaya and condensed milk then chill for an hour. Serve cold.

Around Here

Family time is the best thing in the world. Family living in the city (like us) with busy lives rarely have the chance to bond together during weekends. That's why every chance we have, we grab it immediately. Last week, I spent my Saturday with hubby. We watched Taken 3, enjoyed al fresco dining and spent the remaining free time roaming the mall.

Home cooked meals will always be the best, and I'm a bit spoiled in having my way when it comes to what we eat at home and I tend to crave it when we dine out. Luckily, there are few near our place that serves comfort food. One of them is Rufus famous tapa. Hubby ordered the Tapa and according to him; it was flavorful, and he likes the special sauce. I ordered the Longanisa and just like hubby, I also enjoyed it. The serving was generous and over-all we stand up from our chairs feeling full and satisfied.

Also that day, we bought our food processor and hubby was so excited, he volunteer to cook Lumpiang Shanghai. His version is a keeper. :)

The following day, I went to church with my family. Hubby cannot come with us because he was monitoring his team. It's not our first time to visit Regina Rosarii but our first time to visit a few days before my father's birthday. It is now one of the most famous pilgrimage sites here in the Philippines. The property is huge, and if you ever visit it, you need to ready yourself for walking, I mean walking up the hills. Don't fret, the tiredness will soon be relieve once you reach the top and see the vast, breathtaking view and touch the 71-foot tall statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The experience will leave you breathless.

It's an ideal place to relax your mind, pray for your loved ones and ask guidance to Mama Mary.

2015 Project life plans+December Album

After doing project life in 6x8 format and loving it, I decided to make it simpler this year. I was lucky to stumble a 6x12 photo album @ NBS, and it cost me Php 399.00 or 8.95 dollars only! That's a good deal compare to other online stores. The album comes with 6x12 photo sleeve and has space for additional notes.

To make my memory keeping more productive, I reorganized my digital supplies+fonts. So the time spent on finding where my supplies will be down to a few seconds. I'm using Paislee Press 4x6 Photo Templates Vol. 1, I am thankful no.01, Nine (photo collage), 4x6 photo templates Vol. 2, Digital elements and journaling cards (freebies) from different designers.

I missed digital scrapbooking, and it's convenience. How it made, memory keeping easy breezy. The so called instant gratification. I just love it, and that's my plan for 2015.

Regarding my December album, I got lucky again. My visit to NBS was not plan at all. We (me & hubby) are scheduled to watch a movie that day. Unfortunately, our preferred time for Taken 3 was not available but because we love Liam Neeson, we decided to push through, giving us 4 hours of free time and the best way to kill it is, roaming the mall.

The album is 7x8 and has a gray metallic finish. Looks very festive but classic at the same time.

The best thing about this album was the price. That's $ 2.20 only! I know, I freaked out when I saw the price.

It also included 25 6x7 page protector with red 5x7 cardstock. Holly moly! All I need to do is print and adhere my photos, and I'm done.

I'm excited for 2015. I got what I want. :)

Homeware Haul

2014 is a good year for us in all aspect of our lives. My small business is slowly growing and expanding. I'm totally ok with that. This year, a lot of planning and moving and planning again. Change is better. There's nothing else more exciting than shaking off things that no longer work and having a new space for improvement. I'm totally excited. :)

Going back to my homeware haul, I'm so happy to buy and received gifts that are functional. I love it when gifts are well thought-out. It means that the giver spent some time thinking and considering the feelings of the receiver. It communicates knowledge of the recipient.

My mama gave me 2 Liters of my favorite Antibacterial hand soap, Blender with coffee miller and food processor came from hubby (not in the picture) and soap again from a friend.

and here are the things I bought:

Cuisinart All Silicone Spoon Rest-Hubby could not understand the logic behind this purchase. I told him, I need a spoon rest for my spatula while cooking. It is large enough to handle different cooking utensils. A practical buy for me.
Glass Storage Candy Jar W/ Airtight Lid and thick knob for easy removal- I bought this because my sugar & salt container need replacing and of course for esthetic purpose.
Soup bowl- I just love how cute this is.
Vacuum airtight food container- I bought this because of  flaxseed. I read somewhere that ground flaxseed are quickly turn rancid, and the best way to keep the whole seed fresh is by putting it in a vacuum airtight container.
Mason Jar Drinking Glasses Mugs Embossed- County Fair-Been dreaming to own a mason jar. Finally, it was available at my favorite store, and the best thing is, it's so darn cheap.

Note: As seen in the first photo, I also bought three new pillows and pillow cases, and mortar & pestle.

How I Organize My Fonts

Hi There! Before I share, my 2015 Project life plans (I know, It's already February) let me share how I organize my fonts.

I've been ditching newly downloaded fonts to my font folder like crazy, and because I stopped updating it since 2009, I had a hard time looking for a particular font the other day. I feel sorry for my laziness. I wasted a couple of minutes checking my folders only to realized in the end that, I never download the font in the first place! Unbelievable. With hundreds of fonts in my collection, how on earth did I miss Cheri

I have no idea. It's been awhile since I last created a digital scrapbook layout and most of the time out of laziness, I prefer to just use the ever reliable WordArt+basic fonts installed on my PC when I'm doing my project life. I need to re-organize it because my project life 2015 will be 100% digital and I'm planning to use atleast 3 kinds of fonts per picture.

First, I created another folder and label it "F"

then I moved all my old fonts there and created new folders with specific font categories.

From now on, new downloaded fonts will be save on its proper folder.

Dafont is my go to website for the latest fonts.

and to view my collections of fonts, I used AMP font viewer.

You may ask, what's going to happen to the already downloaded fonts I transfer to the other folder? Well, I will transfer them back one by one to the new category folders I created. This is going to be a long process but I know this is all worth it.
