Book Series

For the month of September till November of first week, I'm going to do a series of post every Tuesday about books. Why books? Because I love reading and would like to share how I was able to read several or less books in a month, when to schedule reading, my book goals, reading inspirations, and which is better for me physical or digital books.

p.s here's my August Read and you can find previous book read here

August Read

Key Lime Pie Murder (Hannah Swensen #9) by Joanne Fluke|381 pages -I was bored to death with the first 100 pages and what keeps me going are the recipes. The crime was introduced halfway through the book and I seriously need to reread few pages because I can't remember who is the victim then when I finally found out, I was like, "OK?" I couldn't care to be honest. There's no character building. I was surprised that there's a murder in the plot. I really thought I was reading another book. The characters go into too much detail about trivial things and it's just so annoying. A tough one to finish. I felt like the story took too long to get to the point and wasn't engaging. I can only recommend this for the recipes.

The Ground Rules (The Ground Rules Trilogy #1) by Roya Carmen|284 pages-I have never read anything quite like it. It's unconventional, It was taboo, it was intense, it was provocative and utterly addicting. This book supposed to feel wrong, but it didn’t. It was forbidden and erotic. You have to experience for yourself. It kept me at the edge of my seat right from the start. Couple swapping. Sex. No emotional attachments Is it possible to have a sexual relationship with someone without becoming emotionally attached? I know that this is going to end badly. I mean, how can it not. This book isn’t for the faint of heart. An absolute train wreck that I couldn't get enough of. The writing was fantastic and every single character was likable. It was a good read and I highly recommend it.

Week In The Life 2015 | Sunday

A glimpse of our Sunday. I intentionally put down my camera and enjoy the calmness of just being me and hubby. It's been awhile. This is what weekend is all about. Us just hanging out. Being in the same room enjoying what we have and don't have. This is our life. Quiet and calm.

Week In The Life 2015 | Saturday

A glimpse of our Saturday. I intentionally took 4 photos today to sum up our day. Still raining and we thought that, it is a perfect day to be lazy and spend it lounging in the sofa while watching TV.

My mama and sister. About to leave for her check-up.

Malunggay Penne for Lunch.

This is it.The heartbreaking wedding of Frankie and Yayadub of KalyeSerye. I was crying watching Alden breakdown in tears. You see, I'm not into Teleserye. I prefer to watch cooking show, American television series (The Walking Dead, Wayward Pines, etc) but KalyeSerye is different. The story line is typical but the way the actors portray their roles are beyond excellent. It was scripted but they are allowed to do an ad lib which makes it hit to the viewers. There are moments you are about to cry then suddenly something will happen that will make you laugh so hard you end up crying and laughing at the same time. You also learn something from the show that you can apply to your life. Thanks to LolaniDora

Week In The Life 2015 | Friday

A glimpse of our Friday. I intentionally crop photos to prevent others who read this blog to visually imagine the layout of our house or our neighborhood. Most of the photos are taken at the first floor of our house. The photo below have a recognizable landmark (not visible due to heavy rain) that when you see it and your familiar with the area, you know where we are.

Zero visibility due to heavy rain.

3 of the 4 girls. I had a hard time taking their photos. They move around like crazy and it's hard to keep up with them while they're running in the hallway.

Late lunch. Malunggay Pesto Pasta and Pizza Buns

Today is Ninoy Aquino Day (special non-working holiday) here in the Philippines. The perfect day to spent quality time with hubby. We went out to buy him a new DS ac adapter. Photo taken inside a jeepney.

Early dinner at Jollibee. One of my comfort food: spaghetti and burger meal plus ice cream sundae. I will never get tired of this combination.

Week In The Life 2015 | Thursday

A glimpse of our Thursday. I intentionally take photos of my dogs in one area of our home and that is the sofa. They love to chill there all day long and I love to look at them. It relaxes me for some reason and sometimes I wonder how it is to live a dog's life.

Hubby's pack lunch. Roast chicken, rice and boiled corn.

Chicken salad spread, Pandesal and Palabok for breakfast.

It may look like we only have 3 dogs but we still have 4 upstairs. Yes, you read that right. We have 7 dogs, 3 boys and 4 girls. I'm going to share their photos in the remaining days of week in the life

Preparing my week in the life album. Here are my supplies base on Ali edwards kit color scheme.

Afternoon nap with my boys.

Checking the pantry for items I needed to restock this weekend.

Week In The Life 2015 | Wednesday

A glimpse of our Wednesday. I intentionally used 3 digital products: Everyday Word Art Kit,Writer's Blocks Vol. 2 and Mrs Eaves Roman Font so that it would be easy for me to keep track just in case someone ask.

My three boys just love spending tons of time hanging out on our sofa.

Quick breakfast. I was lost for words when hubby asked me "why are you taking my photo at this early?" It took me a couple of seconds to process the question and answered him back, "It's for my Week In The Life project" then it hit me, hubby got so busy with his work that I didn't have the chance to include him in my daily photos. He was so tired at the end of the day, the least that I want him to do is pose for a pic. He forgot that I still document our daily lives.

Daily dose of twitter

Morning snack. Frozen Rambutan handpicked by my Auntie from their backyard.

Bills, bills, bills

We live near a wet market that's why I don't stock up on fresh vegetables and meat. I buy them daily.

There's no scientific proof that pets sense their owners' pregnancies but our dogs are showing some signs that they've know that my sister is carrying a baby. In this photo, they're having a dog argument about which of them is going to be the first to kiss my sister's bump. Paul Jake (the brown one) is becoming overprotective. Every time somebody try to touch my sister's tummy, He removed the hands by blocking it with his face. It was hilarious IRL.

Week In The Life 2015 | Tuesday

A glimpse of our Tuesday. I intentionally took photos with just a glimpse of my family because although I previously share some of our photos here, I prefer to keep our privacy as much as possible.

Our dogs sleep with us. Most of the time under our bed but when they get cold, we allow them to sleep in our bed. Waiting for me to open the sliding door so they can greet whoever is/are outside the door.

Updating my cork board blog calendar. Crossing out those posted and scheduled post.

Editing my Monday photos

Chilling on the sofa while watching Eat Bulaga!

Week In The Life 2015 | Monday

A glimpse of our Monday. I intentionally took few photos because I'm too lazy to browse tons of it, only to have few to represent the day. There are moments with no photos at all. Stories of our lives that I prefer to capture by words.

The photo above is what we usually do after hubby left for work.We spent an hour or two just chilling in our bed then I tidy up the room before I start preparing the main breakfast.

Cook hubby's pack lunch then we have a quick breakfast.

I've been enjoying reading stuff on twitter. My new morning habit.

Our main breakfast. I reheated the food my relatives sent us. Peppermint tea for me while coffee for my Mama.

My fur kids breakfast. Usually beef dog food and rice.

This is my second tablet passed off by my Mama and because most of the downloaded apps are base on my Mama's need, I had to erase all the data and restore it to default setting so it will run like new.

Lunch time habit. Watching Eat Bulaga. Waiting patiently for their segment "KalyeSerye"

Avocado Ice cream for dessert.

After dinner, this is where they usually hang out while waiting for their Dad to come home.
