Sisig Tofu

My sister's pregnancy cravings kick in and this is one of her most requested food. It's half healthy (because of the tofu) and half deadly (because of the pork crackling). In other words, simply delicious. 

500 grams firm tofu block, drained and sliced into squares
1/2 cup chopped white onions
2 teaspoons minced garlic
4 tbsp All-purpose mayonnaise or more depend on your taste
3 to 4 tbsp pulverized pork crackling (available at wet market or you can crush it with a blender or food processor)
salt, pepper and sugar to taste
Oil for deep-frying

Deep-fry tofu in hot oil just until golden brown, about 1 to 2 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Set aside. In a frying pan or wok, heat the oil. Sauté the onions until translucent. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Add the cooked tofu, mayonnaise and pork crackling. Mix until well combine. Lastly, Season with salt and pepper and mix again. Serve immediately.
