Craft Haul

by - May 22, 2017

Hello there. Before we start, I would like to inform you that this is a collective haul. I didn't buy them in one go. That would be crazy, but given how craft supplies shopping can be therapeutic and relaxing that is very much possible. LOL. :) Also, this post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links.

Ever since Washi tapes became popular with crafters, thousands of new designs are released every month and I must say that the designs are amazing, but being a person who loves anything classic, I prepare to buy the plain colors. When Rosie's studio products landed in the Philippines, I went crazy over their 6x6 pads. The size is perfect for memory keeping and card making. The designs are updated and gorgeous. Left to right (clockwise) Hey Boy, Kraft Cardstock, A Gentle Breeze, Chantilly Lace, Prim and Proper and Sweet Delight.

Left to right: Book Club and In Syle

There are other products by Rosie's studio but I only buy their 6x6 paper pads and clear stamps. Left to right: (Paper Pad) Pink Lemonade and Flourish; (Clear Stamps) Flourish and Sweet Delight

I'm fortunate to product test these kraft Paper by Bowtology It immediately becomes my favorite kraft paper and finally, after months of waiting, Summer finally offer it to the public for sale. The paper is 8x12 in inches, 200 gsm and sells at 1 PHP per pcs.

I've been scrapbooking for years, but this is my first time to buy a 12x12 paper pad. I don't know how I'm able to survive without it before. I'm really glad The Crafters Marketplace had a clearance sale.  I panicked and as a result, I bought all the available colors.

Rosie's Studio clear stamp (Book Club) and Report card jacket to store my clear stamps. Two sets (back to back) per jacket.

My number one favorite paint brush: Scrivo 0, 00, 000 (not in photo) and another brand to test if I like it or not.

Colored plastic folder to organize my 8x11 papers. Inspired by this

Last February 26, I did a giveaway on my Instagram account and it was sponsored by The Crafter's Marketplace. The owner decided to offer this 4x7 Mini Happy planner (not this design. It was the fresh floral) I bought this for my memory keeping.

These cute stickers were sent together with the mini planner.

Although I love Kuretake ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Marker and buying them in sets vs single is more economical, I still choose to buy them in pcs. Why? Because according to my crafty friends who have them, The lightest shades were too light and from my experimentation, the darkest were too dark that my doodle lines disappear. To prevent that, I decided to just buy them in pcs and honestly, I love the idea of picking my favorite colors.

Wink of Stella Glitter Brush is currently gaining fans in the card making world and the effect on cards were amazing but the price is really high and although I can afford it, I don't think it's reasonable. So, I buy the Wink of Stella Glitter Pen which I didn't like after testing it. Bummer. Luckily, a few days before the Summer Washi Swap 2017 event by The Crafter's Marketplace,  Alma (one of the owner) showed me a pen and when I tried it, I had a light bulb moment. Unfortunately, the Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust Bold Point Pens (Clear Glitter) were no longer for sale. I was heart broken but when I dropped by NBS before I go home that day, I was so happy to stumble the Sakura brand and there it is, the Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust Bold Point Pens (Clear Glitter) in several colors. I was in Gelly roll heaven. :) I currently have the silver and Golden.

I tried several mechanical pens, but Pilot brand is my favorite. It glides smoothly on watercolor paper and the best part is I never have to sharpen.

Dirty stamps don't bother me before because I only use black inks and I'm too lazy. But, when I started using water-based markers, I had to do it. Stamp cleaners are not cheap and not available all the time. I need to find an alternative that is sustainable and available locally. I searched the internet and found a forum thread about Simple Green as stamp cleaner. I got lucky, to found it at Ace Hardware and also a Chamois similar to Lawn Fawn Stamp Shammy
